3 Videos at Tokyo Underground Festival
Roger Walch's videos KITSUNE,
CHEERLEADER and DANCE ON THE STREET will be shown as part of the
program of the 7th Tokyo Underground Festival "Chikashitsu". Other
highlights include folk-punk singer Mikami Kan, band Dryfishbutterfly,
theatre group Rokuichi or Calligrapher Sakai Ryuho.

Solo Exhibition at Cafe Dragonfly in Osaka
Roger Walch will show some his digital
photo and video work at newly opened Dragonfly Cafe in America Mura.
For his first solo exhibition in Osaka Roger presents digital
photographs of traditional Kyoto, Nagasaki's famous Gunkanjima Island,
Osaka's Shinsaibashi district and various Shinto festivals. Some of his
video art will also be on display. All the photos are for sale, as well
as Roger's photo book "Five Years in Kyoto" and his DVDs. The Opening
Party is on Feb 2, starting at 6 pm.

Premiere of "Timetunnel of the Heart"

Concert in Sakurai (CD Tour)
Matsumoto Taro (shakuhachi) and Roger
Walch (jazz piano) will perform at Magic x Mallet in Sakurai (Nara
prefecture). Doors open at 17:30, the concert starts at 18:00. Tickets
are 2000 Yen (in advance) /2500 Yen at the door.

Film Screening and Lecture in Nagoya
Roger Walch's documentary film "Even a
large River starts with a Drop of Water" will be screened at Joseikan
in Nagoya on May 14. The event is organized by the Aichi Volunteer
Guides' Network (AGGN) in cooperation with the International Exchange
Association of Aichi Prefecture. After the screening Roger Walch will
speak about his experience as a filmmaker in Japan and Aichi. Doors
open at 12:45, The event starts at 13:15. Place: Joseikan Nogoya (close
to Higashibetsuin subway station on the Meijo Line).

Concert at Doshisha University (CD Tour)

invited to give a Shakuhachi and Jazz-Piano Concert at Doshisha
University's Hello Hall in Tanabe as part of Doshisha's weekly b-flat

Concert (CD Release) & Wedding Party
Matsumoto Taro (shakuhachi) and Roger
Walch (jazz piano) will celebrate the release of their new CD "Live" at
Roger and Yoshiko's Wedding Party at Kyoto's Music Club "Jittoku"
together with many guest musicians. Performers include Can Isik, Thomas
Cramer, Sebastien Mereu, Jiro Matsumoto, Akiko Sakakibara, Tetsuya
Nishimura and others. Place: Jittoku, Kyoto (4 blocks West and 2 blocks
North of Marutamachi/Horikawa).Doors open at 16:00. The concerts starts
at 17:00. The entrance fee is 6000 Yen (includes dinner and all you can

Wedding
Roger Walch and Yoshiko Matsuda get
married at Kyoto's oldest Shinto Shrine, Kamigamo Jinja. After the
ceremony there will be a luncheon at French Restaurant Pascal Peignaud

Duo Concert of Matsumoto Taro and Roger Walch
East meets West. Jazz meets traditional
Japanese folk songs. Shakuhachi bamboo flute player Matsumoto Taro and
Jazz pianist Roger Walch play at Hotel Katsuragi in Mimasaka-city,

Aichi Environmental Symposium in Nagoya
