Solo Exhibition at Cafe Dragonfly in Osaka

Roger Walch will show some his digital photo and video work at newly opened Dragonfly Cafe in America Mura. For his first solo exhibition in Osaka Roger presents digital photographs of traditional Kyoto, Nagasaki's famous Gunkanjima Island, Osaka's Shinsaibashi district and various Shinto festivals. Some of his video art will also be on display. All the photos are for sale, as well as Roger's photo book "Five Years in Kyoto" and his DVDs. The Opening Party is on Feb 2, starting at 6 pm. Roger Walch's documentary film "Even a large River starts with a Drop of Water" will be screened at Joseikan in Nagoya on May 14. The event is organized by the Aichi Volunteer Guides' Network (AGGN) in cooperation with the International Exchange Association of Aichi Prefecture. After the screening Roger Walch will speak about his experience as a filmmaker in Japan and Aichi. Doors open at 12:45, The event starts at 13:15. Concert (CD Release) & Wedding Party

Matsumoto Taro (shakuhachi) and Roger Walch (jazz piano) will celebrate the release of their new CD "Live" at Roger and Yoshiko's Wedding Party at Kyoto's Music Club "Jittoku" together with many guest musicians. Performers include Can Isik, Thomas Cramer, Sebastien Mereu, Jiro Matsumoto, Akiko Sakakibara, Tetsuya Nishimura and others.
